There is a street market every Saturday.
In the close surroundings of the town, the biggest and most impressive golf clubs on the Almeria coast is "Valle del Este" golf club.
For sight-seeing the most important sights are : the church "La Encarnacion" which was built in the XVI century in a modern style, and its alter painting is in baroque style. The Royal Hospital "San Augustin" which was also built in the XVI century, the monastery "La Victoria", the chapel "Espirtu Santo", as well as the historic town museum and the fountain called "Cuatro Canos".
There is a wonderful look out point which had been a medieval settlement. The view from the "Plaza de la Gloria" square is wonderful. In additon to everything else Vera has to offer, it also boasts of one of the premier bull rings, in Spain, which actually dates back to the 15th century. Even if you don“t agree with bull fighting the bull ring itself is worth a visit and for a nominal fee you can have a personally conducted tour of the building and its museum.
